Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS) isa
natural cationic (positively charged) quaternary ammonium compound derived from
colza plant oil( rapeseed oil ). Despite having the word
"sulfate" in its name, this ingredient is not a harsh type of
sulfate detergent , but rather one of the gentlest and safest softening
agents for cosmetics.
