Oleum ricini (Castor Oil) is a vegetable oil obtained from the extraction of jatropha seeds (Ricinus communis) and jatropha seed (Jatropha curcas). In the field of pharmaceuticals is also known as castor oil.
Jatropha plants also contain toxins. jatropha plants is the only plant whose seeds are rich in risinoleic acid. The presence of this acid makes castor oil has a stable viscosity at high temperatures, so that castor oil can be used as a mixture of lubricating oil.
Castor oil is the most lightweight and effective laxative that is either used by children, pregnant women, or hemorrhoids.
